Performance Analysis of the Coupled System of Sludge Oxidation and Methanol Synthesis Based on Green Electricity Hydrogen Production

Abstract
In order to improve the utilization rate of new energy and deeply treat sludge, a coupled system of sludge oxidation and methanol synthesis based on green hydrogen production was proposed. The system integrated sludge treatment and new energy utilization. Through sludge wet oxidation module, electrolytic water hydrogen production module and methanol synthesis module, deep treatment of sewage sludge and efficient utilization of new energy were realized. The coupled system was modeled by Aspen Plus software, and thermodynamic and economic analysis of the simulation system were conducted. Results show that the system has a high energy utilization efficiency of 54.8%, the investment payback period is 2.35 a, and the net present value is 2 428.089 8 million yuan. At the same time, the system not only reduces the secondary pollution that may be caused by traditional sludge treatment, but also greatly improves the sludge recycling heat utilization rate, which provides a new path for sludge treatment and new energy utilization.
