Research on Outdoor Operating Characteristics of Horizontal Single-axis Tracking Bracket Photovoltaic Systems with Different Inclination Angles

    • Based on the complete-year actual outdoor operational data of photovoltaic (PV) power generation systems equipped with a 10° inclination angle, a 5° inclination angle, and a conventional horizontal single-axis tracking bracket under the traditional astronomical algorithm control mode in high latitude regions, the generation characteristics of horizontal single-axis tracking brackets with different inclination angles under different months, different moments, and different solar altitude angles were compared and analyzed. High-precision testing equipment, including pyranometers and electric meters, was deployed in a correspondence configuration. Mutual comparisons were conducted from the perspectives of power generation, irradiation, power, and front/back-sdie irradiation intensity curves. The environmental adaptability and equipment reliability of horizontal single-axis tracking bracket systems with different inclination angles in high latitude regions were further elucidated. Results indicate that significant power generation differences are observed for horizontal single-axis tracking bracket systems under different solar altitude angles. It is demonstrated that horizontal single-axis tracking bracket systems with inclination angles can more readily capture solar radiation resources in high latitude regions and exhibit superior power generation performance, making them more suitable for promotion and application in high-latitude regions.
