Abstract:
To improve economic performance and grid coordination capability of wind-solar-hydrogen-methanol systems under electricity spot market environment, a collaborative optimization method for capacity configuration and operational scheduling was proposed. A mixed-integer linear programming model was established with the objective of maximizing the annual operating revenue of the system. The model was solved based on 8 760 h of wind-solar output and real-time electricity price data from the Mengxi region. Detailed capacity configuration and economic analyses were conducted, and the results were compared with those from a tiered electricity pricing scheme. Results indicate that under the spot market scenario, the system can flexibly schedule its operations in response to variations in renewable resources and electricity prices, thereby improving the utilization of renewable energy and power resources. This leads to increased annual revenue and reduced levelized cost of methanol. The proposed approach addresses the system planning problem under dual fluctuations of wind-solar output and electricity prices, providing a theoretical basis for the market-oriented operation of renewable-energy-based hydrogen production systems.
